Next Annual Meeting - LISBON - May 10-12th, 2010
UPDATE!
Preparations are now underway for the next IMSF Annual Meeting which will be held in Lisbon in the prestigious new offices of EMSA. The date for the meeting has been set as 10th - 12th May 2010, with the format the same as last year - official opening lunchtime on Monday and closing around midday on Wednesday.
We are also hopeful that there will be the opportunity for bilateral meetings with various EMSA representatives during Wednesday afternoon, or an optional visit to the Maritime Support Services function, so if you have any questions you would like to ask of EMSA there will be plenty of opportunities during the final day and you should factor that into your schedule. More details and a fuller agenda will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.
There is a registration extranet portal which EMSA have set up for the event which includes a link to online registration and a hotel reservation form. There is a special rate reserved for our members at the Hotel Vincci Baixa until 26th April, set at 120,00 € per room, per night - including taxes and breakfast. The downloadable form on the extranet gives all details and instructions on how to book.

The main themes of the meeting will be:
- Shipping economics & shipping market analysis
- Logistics and port economics
- Shipping and the environment
- Maritime human resources
If you think you would be able to give a presentation please can you contact Chris Palsson (chris.palsson@ihs.com) or Wally Mandryk (Wally.Mandryk@lloydsmiu.com) as soon as possible so they can construct the programme. If your presentation does not necessarily fit with the themes above, please do still contact Chris or Wally because it may still be possible to accommodate it.
So, the main action points to take away are:
1) Put the date in your diary! IMSF Annual Meeting, Lisbon, 10th - 12th May 2010
2) As soon as possible, please confirm your attendance using the extranet portal link above and reserve your accommodation
3) Email Chris Palsson or Wally Mandryk with your presentation theme and/or title
4) Consider if you wish to take part in the bilateral meetings on the Wednesday afternoon
